An Afternoon Snuggle - Poem by Michael P. McParland

Sweet love Kira will you come and join me now
for an afternoon snuggle and a short rest?
Come rest your head upon my chest
and I'll pull you in for an afternoon snuggle
so full of love and warmth that feels grand.
Will you join me now my precious dear
and close our eyes for awhile while we
snuggle away a few afternoon hours.
Will you honor me my darling one
so I can hold you very close and give you
all my loving strength and peace?
I love you babe and want you here with me,
let's share an afternoon snuggle and a rest
because I want to be with my lady who is the best.

Come and join me dear here in bed for awhile
so we can snuggle and rest in peace
with our hearts content and fully healing.
Come cozy up with me because it's with you I want to be,
I want to feel you in my arms and against my body,
I want to see you smile and hear you say
I love you Michael,
and then I can look right back and say I love you too,
then we can just close our eyes and softly talk as we drift off.
Come my dear and let's on this afternoon so tightly snuggle,
please come and join me dear for some needed resting.
I truly love you so with all my heart and soul
and one of the best ways I know how to show you
is by holding you and giving you all my warmth,
I want to hold you close and release myself,
I want to show you my love in this one way I know how.
So please my dear come and snuggle on this afternoon
and rest with me for a little while.
I trust you babe and love you oh so very deep
and that's why I can hold you next to me for so long,
I want to give you all my love with that one sign
and many more to come.
So let's snuggle now and catch some rest feeling happy
with the lady of my heart I love best.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I love you tons Kira and want an afternoon snuggle with you for a little rest. I want to show you my love and trust and holding you is something we both need and a way for me to show you just how much I love and care for you. I think you know why and it may not make full sense but it truly is a big thing for me. ILYF
