An Unawswered Question - Poem by Billy Loving

While I sift through the memories in my mind
Some solace I try to find
A life filled with nothing but hate
And they wonder why I become irate
To their abuse, I have become numb
To the freak, I have become
I wish I could make them understand
All the torment they have planned
To be loved by someone is all I want
While all they do is continue to taunt
A home is something I don't know
As my life has become one big show
They continue to want to be the victim
Their greed and arrogance is what tricked them
They continue to stalk, I am their prey
I continue to wait throughout the day
Sleeping at night always ready to fight
I wake the next day and embrace the light
If they could see through my eyes
Would they continue with their lies?
A life alone, not a friend to find
Because I'm not one of their kind
My teachings and pleadings fall on deaf ears
My success and happiness is what he fears
The one they never wanted
While all their possessions and friends, they have flaunted
I wake each day with the toughness that has seen me through
How would you feel if this was you?
