And Yet I Remember Poem by DAVID TERRY

And Yet I Remember

I remember
Long walks through the city
Dinner at the small places we found
Wednesday wine at the wharf
Peeking through doorways to wave at you
Two buck chuck
Climbing the treadmill in the morning
Thousands of feet in the air with you
Hours on end on the phone
Weeping when you wept
Evading the others
Rollercoasters and waterparks
Wayne Brady and Little Miss Sunshine
Running with the big dogs
You stealing my breath away
A number five bagel
The view from the top floor lounge
Cheap wine and food in the park
Little Coronas on the pier
Dazzling blue in a glance
Tonto and Buck
Long walking in the Sunset
Early morning beside you
Squat and Gobble
Cab rides in silence
Being in awe of you
Our place and our song
That in you I saw love
Being in love with you
I remember
