Another Day Of Heaven - Poem by Lee Stewart

I woke in the morning to a brand new day,
Our love still forming; and you say,
How sweet it is, just to see,
That you’re here; here with me.

You smile at me and hold my hand,
Telling me of the day, you’ve got planned,
And as we kiss, your heart feels mine,
Then your eyes they start to shine.

The love we share it over flows,
Our love and care more than shows,
That, I’m your man and you’re my world,
Doing all I can for you girl.

We go for a walk through the town,
As we talk ourselves, back down,
To the streets from the sky,
Our hearts filled with beats our minds still fly.

It feels so great, how can I explain?
To even just hear you call my name,
The whole day just whizzes by,
You look so beautiful, you don’t even have to try.

It’s getting late, we head back home,
We’re already there and on our own,
I hold you close against my chest,
It’s times like these that are the best.

I see you in bed; it’s such a view,
Going to make love all night through,
You melt into my arms and in my eyes,
Are souls are dancing in the skies.

As we fall asleep, we kiss goodnight,
Going to keep you right by my side,
And as the night turns back into day,
Another day of heavens, on the way.
