As If - Poem by Jana Courville

Its as if your always
Crying within' yourself
Until darkness takes you away
Washes the mask from your face
Draining you of all your thoughts
So you can see just what youve got
Thats when finally
You let it all go
Let all those hidden tears flow
Just let it all go

Its as if your always
Hiding within' yourself
Unitl darkness takes you away
Your shadow hides
Not wanting to be you
Never wanting to come out and play
So when night falls he dances
In the light of your eyes
Always hidden away
So no one else can see his face

Its as if your always
Trapped within' yourself
Until darkness takes you away
Trapped just left alone to die
In the hidden shadows
Behind those blue eyes
Will you let me set you free
Would you come along and follow me
I'll unlock your chains I'll be your escape
Only if you let me set you free
