Ask Yourself - Poem by ivor or ivor.e hogg
Is it not true? that most men lie
Concealing faults which they possess,
easier to lie than to confess
Although they cannot tell you why
a lie becomes their stock reply.
A measure of their foolishness
Is it not true?
Your truthfulness I won’t deny
but when you look me in the eye
Loudly protesting honesty
you plant the seeds of doubt in me
Is it not true?

Ivor, that's brilliant in its succinct truth. An irresistable invitation and the answer is, of course and alas, yes.... t x (Report)Reply
