Asphalt Army - Poem by D.J. Ray

can you feel the hard earth shake
this cage a prison we forsake
in my room i hear footsteps thunder
an asphalt army starts to murmer
as white black shirts march slowly past
this asphalt army built to last
cops attempting to walk on us
screw you fool in me i trust
so little kids, hide today
the asphalt army is here to stay
