Aswang Poem by Sophie Allyah

Aswang

Rating: 2.6

They tried to kill this shape-shifter for years
But it seemed they can't figure this creature
It gave this peaceful town unending fears
Unknown to all this could be my teacher

Who woulda thought this entity's human
Dressed in white this dusky lady in church
He puts smiles to heart of every woman
These creatures must be burn alive with torch!

Aswang's what we named here in Philippines
A mythical creature who was most feared
Who love to eat cuddly babies and teens
They have lived among us blended and scared

Sometimes may see flying in sky dripping
And sometimes in someone's rooftop drooling
