B: Xxxxxxxvii: Encore Un Peu

The cat couldn't sleep
for the smell of bodies
in the mist rolling in
from the graveyard
soaked in weeks of winter rain.

Stuck in my smoky room playing solitaire.

Handsome Jack of Hearts...
Queen of Spades,
Dame de Pique...
Pique means prick.

She started it,
my black Dame de Pique;
called me Piquette,
'cheapskate', 'litle dick'.

Trouble in paradise often the problem with a full house but no action.
