Backwards



there were stars in your eyes
shooting stars
going in the wrong direction

you put my world in reverse
rusted heart
after you burned it out

you pulled me up to knock me down
tidal wave
undertow to the top of the world and back again
to the deepest depths

sing a love song backwards
play it louder
you'll hear me sing along
