Bears - Poem by Francis Kelly

BEARS
Are sleepy,
Ferocious’
Hibernators.

When gentle,
You sense,
A great deal
Of comfort.

Sometimes angry,
When humans
Attack,
He swings his paws.

One hits a hunter,
Who fly’s through air,
Stomach spilt open,
One down.

Later retreats
To a humble cave-dwelling,
Bear
Returns.
