Beautiful Afternoon - Poem by Michael P. McParland

It's a beautiful spring like late afternoon
here in central Minnesota and the only thing
that would make it better is beautiful you.
You would make it brighter and warmer
giving me company on which to do things.

The duck pond is still mostly frozen over
but the geese are out waiting for it to melt,
we could take a walk along the path surrounding it
basking in the sun and enjoying the beauty
of new life that is blooming.
Just feeling our love as it grows greater by the moment.

A beautiful spring like late afternoon evening
fast approaching here in central Minnesota and
you being here with me would be the perfect thing.
Sit in the shade holding each other enjoying
the warm weather while we just took in everything
and the joy of being together.
Renewal of life and hope all around including
our eternal journey as it's truly begun.

It's a beautiful day here in Minnesota my dear
and I'd give anything to have you here.
Enjoy this beautiful day with my beautiful lady.
Any day spent with you is beautiful my Angel
of light oh so rare and I want to be with you forever
to enjoy the most gorgeous life with my sweet Queen
I hold so truly dear.
I love you babe and hope to have you near soon
when the most beautiful days will forever be here.
