Beautiful Decay. Poem by Edvard Einarson

Beautiful Decay.

Rating: 5.0

a narrow road down the hills.
by its side cried an oaktree.
the wind brought its leaves to soil.
it stood alone in shadow.
undressed by cold autumn decay.
untill spring it would be vigourless.
to me it had never been as beautiful as now.

Only love, only love can leave such a mark But only love, only love can heal such a scar
