Beauty Or Brains? Poem by George Hunter

Beauty Or Brains?

Rating: 4.0

I dated this gal from the city
Who was nice but rather dim-witty.
She told me one day
She would go all the way
Because on me she took pity.

Now she was quite a dish
And fulfilled my every wish.
She said I really don't buy it
But I'm willing to try it
When I suggested another po-sish

So we tried it every way
And I enjoyed her stay.
When it came to her body
She was a hot toddy.
And that I'll say if I may.

She was a real cutie
With a very nice booty
And her hips were fair
And she had real long hair
With kisses like tootie fruitie.

One day she said she had to go
She had other rows to hoe.
She needed a honey
Who had much more money
And that was a very low blow.

I escorted her to the door
And called her a nasty whore.
I didn't mean it, you know
But I was feeling so low
That I tried to hurt her so.

Then I picked a gal with some smarts
Who was very much into the Arts.
We just talked every night
With no later delight
And ended up playing darts.

I know she had lots of brain
And I hate to be one to complain
But when I compare the Arts
To her fine body parts
It puts me under a strain.

She said, in a voice laconic
I just love us being platonic.
Sex is such a waste
And in very bad taste.
An opinion I knew was moronic.

So with no other in sight
I dumped her later that night
Kinda hated to see her go
Cause we had nice talks, you know
But I felt to do it was right.

So now I'm here all alone
Just me and my dog with no bone.
Next I'll get me a hottie
With brains and a body,
A combo I'll sure like to clone.

You just have to balance the pair
Fine mind and a body so rare.
It's not all just books
Or all just good looks
When I find her I'll have an affair.
