Because We Are Lost - Poem by Dexsta Ray

When I say we are lost
I don't mean wandering in the forest kind of lost
I mean spiritually lost
We've strayed so far from who we really are its pitiful
Instead of giving praise to our one God
Some of us worship other things
Clothes, money, sex, drugs, cars and others
Because we are lost
We cannot see this

We can't see the fact that the enemy has surfaced
Devils are loose on the earth
He's using anything at his disposal to trick you all
To distract you all from God
With delusions of other religions and fleshly pleasures
There's only one true God
Every other religion was created by the enemy through man
Because we are lost
We cannot see this

We can't see that this physical world
Is not all there is
Some feel as though the spiritual side doesn't apply to them
But that's exactly who we are
We try to find gratification through physical accomplishments
But you'll never be truly happy until you reach spiritual maturity
But because we are lost
We cannot see this

We can't see the love God has for us
We've been blinded by social stigmas
The enemy has tricked us into thinking sin is cool
The weak minded ones are his targets
And because they are lost
They don't even notice what's going on
All evil promotes sin
But you have power over them all
They aren't allowed to enter your life at will
Sin is their doorway into your souls
Although you were lost
Now you can see this

A very deep and emotional write. When we are lost all
we can do is grope in darkness. Until we open our hearts
to the one and only God we will remain lost. Very good.
