Benighted Love - Poem by shirley law

Benighted Love

I'm in a cage
Our love can never escape
Please, don't take me away
You have a lot of things to say

When I penetrate your lies
You haven't tried to explain why
I fall in dark and empty life
Without you what am I?

I can't recognize anything without you
But I've still decided to leave you
I get a card signed by you
Now, I don't need you

What does that mean?
Are you going to give in
you pulled my heart to you again
I fall in a cage once again
