Betrayal - Poem by P.W. Safiyah

I was trying to be you
I was imitating you
Cz... I looked up to you
I thought you were close to me
I thought you shared them with me
I thought my life revolved around ou

Then came the crashing realisation
That you had stabbed my back
Not once, not twice
But many times
Then I woke to reality
You weren't who I thought you to be
I screamed, I cried
I couldn't believe

Now... I want to change
Become someone else...
Who I was before I met you
To severe our ties
To severe the fake friendship
That we had for so long
That pretended friendship
That I so believed

You betrayed me
The worst kind I know

I used to think
I'll never feel betrayed
Cz I have you as a friend
But I was wrong
Which is weird
Cz... I'm never wrong

You are a twisted beast
A snarling two-face freak
Not a human
That i thought you to be
I cringe, I jump
You startle me
Now I think about it
I do believe

I've already gone back
To who I was
You just made me realise
You gave me experience
Now I've learnt it
And won't make
The same mistake

You betrayed me
But I don't care anymore...
