Big Brother Poem by Elizabeth Monroe

Big Brother

Rating: 4.5

I miss you big brother.
I miss how you told me I looked like mother.
I miss how you protected me.
I miss how when things got bad you would never flee.
I miss how you always seemed to care.
I miss how you played with my hair.
I miss how you were never mad even though
everyone started spending more time with me when I got sick.
I miss how you were always so quick.
I miss how you weren't mad even though mom left because of me.
I miss how you told me it wasn't my fault mom had to flee.
I miss how you said it wasn't my fault even though I knew it was because mom couldn't handle that I wasn't going to get better.
I miss how in winter you always got me new sweaters.
I miss everything about you big brother.
I will never love another good bye my big brother.
