Biological Waltz

Inhale, absorb.
Exhale, expunge.
Inhale, capture.
Exhale, liberate.
Inhale, smother.
Exhale, purge.
The tempo quickens.
My blood thickens.
Faster.
Faster.
A biological waltz
but I'm losing my footing.
You've got your arm around my waist
but I'm not holding your hand.
And I think to myself,
'How could I be so naive as to even attempt? '
And then this false god partner
leaves me for another dance.

Nice rhythm... What exactly are you try to convey here? A human need for a partner?
