Bird In Tree, Soul In Us Poem by james watkin

Bird In Tree, Soul In Us

Windily stripped, now in the boughs
Apart what, full-rounded
In bird's notes, bird's shape vouch we.
Tree's life, resounded.

So does it take, as harsh a force
Deathly cruel, to get at
Soul. Each uprisen joyousness
Heart-lodged, what begat.
