Birds And Me - Poem by Cigeng Zhang

That day I wore an eye-catching skirt in red
I tried to take a picture for ten birds
They hovered high above me eight laps
My figure moved like burning flame
None of us let go of each other, circling round
They saw me as a gust of black wind
Chasing me while I shot a close-up for them
A dovish silhouette finally in a freeze-frame

What energy this poem has! It's the energy of nature which your poem with its quiet wisdom of the words knows is the key to a happy life. It's so easy to forget or ignore such a lesson in achieving a good life, and the more time spent in nature OR in reading nature poems like this, the better we are fortified to live a better life. I know that's the effect of poem on me. I want to seek that key.
This is a poem to read in all seasons.
