Bleeding On The Floor Poem by The Dreamers Movement

Bleeding On The Floor

Honesty is the best policy
So let me
Rip my heart out
So you can watch me bleed
Let me pour my
Thoughts out for you to examine
And pick apart
But why does being honest
Hurt me more than you

I try to tell you
What I honestly feel
Believe
Think
But every time I try too
You ignore my attempts
Or laugh in my face
I don’t say what you want me too
To you it seems like I am not being honest
But in reality
I am being more honest
Than you could ever be

The truth hurts
Sometimes more than others
But it still leaves a bruise
If not a contusion
But we all heal eventually
When we realize maybe the truth
Made us a better version of ourselves

can definately understand the sentiment that is vividly conjured up in the first paragraph, and the poem's conclusion. 'So you can watch me bleed Let me pour my Thoughts out for you to examine' expresses the vulnerability that comes with honesty in certain cases perfectly. nice work
