`blind Poem by Tiffanie Lein

`blind

Rating: 5.0

This world is rich in touch and sounds
Of green paperbacks and solid gold
Or maybe the nickel and copper around
Entwined in goods and cash enfold

The taste of victory and triumph we seek
For glory we toil in misery
Revere the great and mock the weak
To aid the latter but only cursory

The gleam of life so brilliant we fail
To see the stunning burst of colour
Our eyes and senses ebb and ail
Numbed by struggle so undue and sour

Sprinting forward, we kick up dust
That block our view and encircle us
In snares of greed & hate & lust
Nothing but carats about we fuss

Today i saw a burst of hues
Joie de Vivre, no longer blue!
