Blue Eyed Wonder - Poem by Ryan Arthur Walker
A freckled face smiled at me today
A smile that bore white teeth, and petite lips
How could I not look away
She drew me in with blue eyes
Typical to those bearing hair of amber waves
Her blue eyes however
Have a magnificent charm, a glow about them,
That dragged me in.
My reflection in her eye made a twinkle,
and her star-like eyes, fashioned like the sky,
Moved towards another direction.
A blessing, simple but sweet
To stare with melodic grace into pools
So rich and deep
That this moment may satisfy me forever.
