Blue Umbrella - Poem by TheSilent Loudness
I dream of someone whose fingertips trace my skin like
raindrops on glass
with a smile that bursts like fireworks
leaving me weak at the knees
with fireflies dancing around in my lungs
that only escape when I whisper
'I love you'
My sweetheart would look at me with
eyes that scream 'I am nothing without your fingers interlocked with mine.'
She'd cling to my arm and dance with her hand on my chest,
resting her nervous eyes on mine.
Her cheeks are rosy because it takes a lot to say
that I'm her blue umbrella in her
I feel myself looking down because it's hard for me to believe
that she's my life preserver in my
I don't want to be alone again, she said as she started to fade
That's okay, I held her cheek, you're
my favorite lucid dream
