Borderlined By Cheapened Times Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Borderlined By Cheapened Times

Rating: 5.0

More today live in a montage.
Miraged by images camouflaged.
Without looking deeper than a peep.
Or underneath what they've been fed to eat.

More today live in a montage.
Pieces put together from someone's garage.
And sold on a price that is tagged.
Of having more value than it had in the past.

Minds have been borderlined,
By cheapened times.
With few stepping back to get a full view.
Of a quality of life lived less valued.

Urban city dwellers bargain more to get less.
Living life cheaper.
Distressed, depressed and under duress.
Hoping to relive times,
When their minds were then...
Not confused or pressured to be used.

Minds are borderlined,
By today's cheapened times.
And few are stepping back to get a full view.
Of their quality of life less valued.

Living more today are those montaged.
Miraged by images camouflaged.
And sold on a past to be tagged,
As having more value than it ever had.
Just to sell a worthlessness,
To leave it cheap on urban streets.
Where the people perceive,
Their lives to live dispensible.
Without value or meaningless to love.

quite interesting poem, Lawrence, though the borders are broadened, but cheapened by times.. Thank you..
