Broken Angel. - Poem by Calyn Hartley

She's a broken angel,
that's drowning in the pain of her failing dreams
A lonely and lost girl who has fallen silent.

She reopens that recently scarred flesh
Hoping that this time would be her last.

Nightmares keep returning
of how she fails herself
every time she picks up that razor.

Depression eats away at her already wounded soul
sadness takes away the once pleasurable hobbies.

She tries to tame this unruly beast inside
but this beast is fatal
it's pulling apart her once beautiful mind.

As she slowly dies on the inside
as tears begin to fall
she realized that no one will realize until she is gone.

She's a broken angel
that's drowning in the pain of her failing dreams
a lonely and lost girl who had fallen silent.
