Canadian Thunder Poem by Adam Thoms

Canadian Thunder

Rating: 5.0

The rain rages away
While I lie here awake
Thinking about my day
All of the terribly stupid things I say.

The wind whispers away
While I contemplate.
Where I work and play
All the things I've written on my slate.

'What do you have to say for yourself? '
You might ask
And I'll tell you, but I don't think it's going to help
because it's - - - - - - - -

The clouds chorally drain
Cause I'm carving against the grain
Cause I'm craving to plea or proclaim
To Capture it candid before it sees a stain.

Laced with lightning and thunder
Causing creatures to take cover
Taste of pogram and plunder
Pausing the preachers we pray under.

'What do you have to say for yourself? '
You might ask
And I'll tell you, but I don't think it's going to help
because it's - - - - - - - -

The sun shines through the storm
So chooses to adorn
A beacon about the swarm
A canvas common to practice and perform.

'What do you have to say for yourself? '
You might ask
And I'll tell you, but I don't think it's going to help
because it's la da da la da da.
