Caruso R.I.P. - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Caruso R.I.P. - Lincoln Park Zoo

Caruso, rest in peace old friend,
A special white cheeked gibbon who
Long gave joy that's come to an end
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
Over all those many years that
We came to visit you and see
You thriving in your habitat
With Burma and the family.
You loved to flirt with ladies - yes.
But ev'rybody you'd welcome.
Sometimes comments you would express,
Sometimes quietly suck your thumb.

In memory we watch you swing.
In memory we hear you sing.
