Caught In The Middle Poem by amanda awan

Caught In The Middle

I'm scared, confused
just caught in the middle
so different, need to choose
an answer to the riddle.

A gaze so deep
a heart too soft
I'm in need of an answer
from above

Caught in the middle
of a never-ending fight
no winners or losers,
a war too tight

No changes in state
just nothing to lose
no way to move on
never heard of truce.

Caught in the middle
of a strange impossible dream
always falling down
just can't cross the stream

A burden to hold
a shattering glass
broken but can't get out
a feeling stays to last.

Caught in the middle
of truth and lies
can't possibly choose a path
too many innocent eyes

But to determine the path
takes too many regrets
can't pass through the door
just too many threats

I'm scared, confused
just caught in the middle
so different, need to choose
an answer to the riddle.
