Child The Blossoming Bud - Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

A child is a blossoming bud
Will blossom one day,
He or She sprinkles essence
Spray everywhere and in bay.

Child, a bud, becomes beautiful flower
That attracts the family,
Attracts community, country
Love creatures as lovely.

Children are like liquid water
And also handful clay,
We can shape them easily
As we like, let them play.

In the childhood the children
Must be educated and trained,
Value education is inevitable
We must make them wise brain.

A child is like a rising sun
Who can provide knowledge-light,
Like love, peace, purity and charity
Bliss, nonviolence, truth-might.

We must guide the children
Always to be coruscated,
They must not be crabbed
They should not be fated.

Being students in the school
They coy and cower,
Teachers mustn't punish them
They shouldn't feel lower.

They are our futures
They shouldn't be in narrow,
They may be doctors, engineers
Be great men in marrow.

We are all children
In the eyes of God,
We should love him and
Gain virtuous qualities bud.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

It is a poem based on childhood. Poet thinks a child to be a flower bud. He or she will blossom one day and spread his or her essence. Children attract the families, communities, countries and all creatures. They are lovely. Children are like water or clay for we can shape them as per our liking. They should not be given burden; they should play freely for physical health. At the time of childhood we must provide the children good education with value. They should be trained to tackle different situation. A child is like a rising sun that can provide the society the light of knowledge like love, peace, purity, charity, bliss, nonviolence and the power of truth. We must guide the children always. They should be dazzled with good qualities. They should not be crabbed. Children should not believe in fate but should believe in action. Some students in school life coy and cower. They should not be punished by the teachers at all. Children are our futures. They may be doctors, engineers, scientists, politicians or being great men they can serve the society. Their minds should not be narrowed. We are all children in the eyes of God. He is our father. We should gain virtuous qualities like bud from him and love him.

It is an acknowledgement of the fact that children are the building blocks of our future society. The are entitled to quality education through which they will imbibe good qualities and virtues in life. They must be groomed to take up higher responsibilities when the grow up. Thanks, Kumarmani ji. (Report)Reply

A wonderful tribute to children. We all were children before becoming adults, and someone taught us the way. So, let us put forth the time and effort to understand and guide the children of today.

A lovely poem on children! Yes, they are beautiful buds now to be blossomed into colourful flowers soon!
We should watch them carefully so that they wouldn't be eaten away by maggots or infected by canker! Children give us joy and they are our hope for the future! Enjoyed this poem of great thoughts!
