Christmas Time Again - Poem by Daniel Lloyd Kennedy
Christmas time is here again,
With freezing rain and snow,
And children seem to dream of things,
They'd like to do in snow.
Moms and Dads are trying hard,
To buy those special gifts,
For giving is a wonderful thing,
And gives ones heart a lift.
And as one scrimps and scrapes and saves,
They always seem to find,
Just enough to buy that gift,
For someone else so kind.
With all the things we find each day,
That seem to be important,
The lessons learned will help to make,
The trivial seem unimportant.
Let's not forget that Jesus came,
And died that we might live,
Now wasn't that the greatest gift,
That anyone could give.
