Close Your Eyes Poem by Bill Simmons

Close Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

See the glow of the steeple
See the stars overhead
See the little children
Fall asleep, go to bed

They are the glory
Of what love was meant to be
I’ll tell you a story
] So tonight you can dream

Cockle shells, jingling bells
Birds that talk but never tell
Catch a cloud, ride it by
Hush little baby, close your eyes

Sleep tonight and dreams do keep
Within your mothers arms so meant to be
Cotton tails and old wagon wheels
I’ll tell you a story, old Bre Rabbit did live

You are the glory of what love is meant to be
I’ll tell you a story so tonight you can dream
Cotton tails and old wagon wheels
Once upon a time, old Bre Rabbit did live.
