Come Then Let Us Fasten Our Minds - Poem by mandla zibi

Come then let us fasten our minds
To this petulant manacle of rhyme
This tyranical word-beat of time
This terror of tyrants of all kinds

For such an age as ours,
Where the number all humanity overpowers
Must be fought not with flowers
But a severity of expression
That scours.

foward be the verse, indeed the pen is mightier. The time is of the essence, we must speak now and forever in the words of a poetic piece. this being our mission, no truth will be a lie, no words will ever escape. beautiful!
