Crashing Chandeliers And Other Random Explosions

this memory would have made a nice tattoo
but i decided it'd be better off as a song for you
who knew, that night, would lead to this
right now, would be, a good time for a second chance

watch them run and hide

cuz we have grenades for hearts
and bombs for body parts
we're destroying everything in sight
everything we'll end tonight

they say, 'just to turn a new leaf'
but it's mid-winter
and all the trees are playing dead, all the books have been read
so i guess, it's for the best, if i just take a breath, hold back
and all of this, from a moonlit drive in the car
riding with heavy hearts
and words dying to be said, tension flying in the air
to the tune of the radio in the background,
wow

watch them run and hide

cuz we have grenades for hearts
and bombs for body parts
we're destroying everything in sight
everything we'll end tonight

and as if we have nothing better to do
we'll sit back and watch our city drown in flames
clap our hands and claim, this is victory,
this was war, this is victory, this was war
