Cupped Up - Poem by Ronald Peat

Cupped Up

in that embrace
where sky is filled with a round moon
I cuddle-up close behind you,
A snug glove against your back
to feel all of you beneath my touch—
warm memories roll off my skin.
Such a gentle breeze in summer,
you say in a whisper—
“you are my dear friend.”
