Daddy - Poem by Kathryn Kwasny

Sometimes people ask me “why”
Sometimes people tell me “so what”
Some things they say do not apply
Some people agree with me somewhat

Some people think I’m smart
While others think I don’t belong
People think I don’t play the part
Only one person knows I’m strong

His name is dad
To most he’s just a person
But to me he’s one of my only comrade’s

He’s my hero and my strength,
When I need him he is always there
His love for me is an immeasurable length
To no one does he compare

Loving, caring, and funny
There to protect and defend
His attitude is always sunny
Always will be my best friend.
