Dance Poem by Taylor Hainline

Dance

How do you dance,
with no song to play?
How do you dance,
with the skies grey?
How do you dance,
with the stars hiding away?
How do you dance,
without the sunlight to stay?
How do you dance,
knowing it's not okay?
How do you dance,
when they won't sway?

How do you dance,
with no hand to hold?
How do you dance,
in this blistering cold?
How do you dance,
knowing you'll grow old?
How do you dance,
like it's better than gold?

You dance,
like it's home.
