Dance On - Poem by Sally Plumb

I'll dress myself
in spangles
then I'll dance
for you.
Never look
into your eyes,
just glance
and view.
Twist and turn,
burn and wish,
count the steps
that bring you close,
should you decide,
fight your pride,
feel desire,
fire inside.
Emotion melting
wakes your senses.

Touch the music,
breathe the power,
reach out to me,
teach me the truth,
that the hour
is not too late
to recreate
a love song new.

This is beautiful and romantic. The essence of dance is ritual and courtship, and here attraction in a shrinking spiral to seduction. A very alluring poem. (Report) Reply
