Dancing In My Head - Poem by CEJ Jim
A stranger in the office room,
My fingers stick to letter keys
My vision wanders, later freeze
And being so curious is my doom.
Her features spin on my roulette
Can’t seem to label my own lure
I catch her graceful silhouette
As passing by, I have to endure
I keep the cool and weaken hope
But I can’t help to make some noise
And feel my neck on tighter rope
When smiling back becomes her choice.
As one not ready for the show
I see her out of her disguise
One night to watch her sway with flow
And kissed my mental bonds good bye
To so much charm, I had to bow
Enjoying cookies and some film
And with no effort, she could wow
The heat went up on my bloodstream
So easy was, to follow crave
And so damn hard to still my hand
No matter how far back the wave
The water’s meant to kiss the sand.
Alone and jaded in the cold
Her warmth became a lovely sin
I let myself wear a blindfold
As we felt merging our own skin
The flashbacks play now and again
A smile draws in pure delight
The thrills that once had gone astray
She made arise for a few nights.
Like a stranger, whom I know
Those heartbeats still feel close
And a kiss, encased by snow
Graced my lips and later froze.
To the fullest, I live life
Foreign lands rejoice my view
Love the park and mountain hike
Miss the Fountain… without U.
