Daylight Time Poem - Poem by Joel Roderick Bisson

For the days are shorter and the nights long
I write for a woman through poetry and song
I write to her as if she were the only woman
For me to Love in this world, for her I am
And the sands of time have let me see it
That someday we could be happily married
But reality bites and I wake up with it
On my mind that someday she'll be married
And there isn't a thing I could do about it
When it is me she should be married
To a real gentlemen who Loves her so
Of these memories not real will not let go
I need to find myself with my act in tact
And seek the advice of many of friends
I feel that Love has given me a heart attack
And it's her I want to be with me in the end.
