Dear Little Nightgale - Poem by Cleo Scribbler

Dear little Nightgale

Sing with your voice so calm and clear
Your sweet and warm Melodies
Wipes away my tears

Dear little Nightgale
You are my dearest friend
Your songs always seem to say
I'll be with you 'till the end

We have our little conversation
You play your tricks and I laugh
With you I am so happy
I forget about all the miseray in the past

Dear little Nightgale
I love you with all my heart
And I can't help but feel sad
Everyday when you depart

Dear little Nightgale
I am gald you have returned to me
I am washed over with joy and relief
That you are once again perched on your tree

You jump and tweter around
Your song full of cheer
Your little from casts away my despair
And takes away all my fear

Dear little Nightgale
I am now old and gray
I no longer can jump with you
For I fear this my last day

Dear little Nightgale
You sing me my last song
I see sadness in your beady eyes
Knowing soon I will be gone

But I am still filled with joy
Knowing that when I pass away
You'll help another who was like me
And soon they will say what I say

I Love You My Dear Little Nightgale
