Dear Son Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dear Son

Dear son

Years ago on this day
-your birthday
-twenty two, now thirty
I risked all I could have
-include my cheap life
Carried false documents
-with name of Alistair…
-not even Saidov; prior…
I had to be here
-we would then celebrate
-my son's day…your birthday.

I could be arrested
-sent to and, then to, and…
-then again and always Q-A
I would end in some jails
-taking my last breath!

I made it to airport
-head and mind flying
-hoping to see my missing
-all of my family…
-but met one, your sister
-do tell her I owe her
-all my life
-the one that was just saved

Then next day on the Feb twenty seventh
-came to light the facts, dark
-wrong judgments, decisions
-I faced this when came home lost in cold!

Mankind loves stories
-I am filled and can fill
-the pages in thousands
-with years of radio and TV

Hope we can meet and sit
-tell, hear stories of how was?
-mine on move, yours waiting…
We must meet, hear-tell everything…
