Dearest - Poem by Abdulla Al Khalifa

Beautifying thy gracious words
With false-hearted smiles,
Trusting thee canst mask envy
With thy jovial whiles

Dearest Friend

Gloating uttered in secrecy
As thy kin’s fortune grows pale
Though of blood thou art allied,
Never wouldst thy malice unveil

Dearest family

Thy heart for another beats devout
Whiles love of the rightful thou received,
Thou fear of abandonment is inevitable,
Love of the rightful thou deceived
