Delphi - Poem by Karnail Singh Heirwale

DELPHI

In this vale
I woke up
In quest of happiness
How mistaken Iwas
Everybody was wailing
And wailing endlessly
He could not do otherwise
The gatekeeper at the door
Would not allow anybody to enter
Pulsions pulsating
And drives driving
For nothing
lay helter shelter
On the dreary land
How many had been undone
On their own
Or for no fault of theirs
One can never know
Was this infernal torture
Purgatorial fire
Or paradisial bliss
Orquitetude
Of dwellers of cave
Curious to hear the voice
From Delphi?
