Democracy's Demise

Rust's grit asthmatically wheezes
Grimaced breath pleads for air
Impetuous flak vomits the bile of lies
Appraised by monetarized mucus residue

Rubble crawls as I settled in to my prose
Sharpened barbs of narcissistic critics
Piercing through words of any truth
Comforting their gluttonous greed

Idiocy flickers in the mindless foreground
Where crackling murmurs reside within
Imbeciles vacate all reason//ableness
Abandoning mercies stoic naiveté

Awaiting ominously among the virtuous
Shadows of the dense jungles interior
Shield the exploitation of hate-filled fear
Snatching away all pleading agitators

Gaseous smoke silences moans
Vulnerable howls camouflaged
Democracy's intent murdered
Privileged ruling militants celebrate

Extinction of the Great American Experiment
Came too easy for the modern-day Neanderthals

Freedom had been too kind
Indivisible had met a greater force

Hate + Money = Power
