Den stakkelse Blindebuk! Han gjør sit Bedste
Han lytter, standser, vender sig i Hast,
Gjør lange Spring og atter korte Kast -
Raadvild hvor han skal sine Næver fæste.

Her brøler en, her driller ham den næste -
For Foden smed sig en forsoren Gast -
Han snubler — op igjen — nu holdt han fast,
Nu slap — han sveder — Holdt! her fik han Fæste.

Haha! Nu gik det an. Forbi er Skrækken.
Nu har han Katten rigtig kjøbt i Sækken -
Hurra! Nu Bindet bort fra Øiet!

Nu gnider sine Hænder han fornøiet -
Nu er det overstaaet dennesinde:
See saa! Lad nu en Anden gaae iblinde!
