Departed - Poem by Frans Hendjala

Yesterday you held my hand
So firm and you promised not to let me go
Today I don’t understand
As my hand you’re letting go
It is so sad we departed

Now my mind is on overdrive
Trying to solve this puzzle
You were my other half, it’s so hard to survive
When I hit the pub, I don’t drink but guzzle
Just because we departed

You were that woman who kept me together
The lady who made me believe in forever
All these are now obsolete
The future may not be better
With the two of us departed

You left without an explanation
As to why you no longer feel the attraction
So I was hoping there will still be a day
When we will still feel the same way
As when we did when we started

No longer am I of such childish beliefs
That only you will complete me
I've gotten rid of such obsession and it is such a relief
That you no longer dwell in my emotions
I am glad we departed

Very touching. Sounds like it's coming right from your heart. (Report) Reply
