Depression - Poem by Ranock Saing

I never beg for attention
But I was only going through depression
I used to run and hide; people who didn’t know me would call me shy
At night in dark, by myself I’d cry
The pain was miserably real
I waited and waited for someone to make it heal
When no one would understand
It started to be a demand
Even though I acted like I didn’t care
I observed to see who was truly there
It was hard to face reality
I never really thought that it could actually happened to me
I pray to God to take me away
I couldn’t take it another day
It’s hard to adjust to a new place
Especially where everything has to be in a pace
I wished I’d be somewhere else than here
The perfect one wish was that I could disappear
A million faces has passed
Only a special few would ever last
It’s not an easy thing to have your friends so far apart
And your here with nothing and it just tears your heart
To wake up without a message or a phone call
Or soliciting with laughter in the school hall
When u feel so blue
There’s no one to be here for u
When u needed help, there’s no one to phone
To have that feeling that you are all alone
Your life used to be one big show
Here, no one knows
Fitting in would make me look cool
Instead, I’d probably end up acting like a fool
This new life is one big change
Life is in fact so strange….
