Devils Spawn - Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Evil devils spawn
Marrow sucked out dry
Body gnarled and torn
Sits upon a shoulder high

Body temperature colder
Blood blocked to ice
Like carrion picking bones much older
Just adding to the spice

Suggesting evil dark deeds
Planted within the brain
Designed to fill his greedy needs
Filled with misery and pain

Angel angelic sits across
Warming up the soul
Ready to carry a cross
Telling the devils goal

It is a dangerous path, trod
Holding back the choice
Flinching from a devilish prod
Hearing the loudest voice

On the brink of the abyss
So deep and dark
Shrug off the sin of avarice
With an angel park
